The workshop is focused on effective communication and provides detailed information coupled with expert input about what that means and how to apply it in the workplace.

Participants will have a clear and comprehensive awareness and knowledge of what are effective communications. The workshop will provide a plethora of ways of looking at communication that is both healthy and ineffective. They will practice effective communication and at the end of the workshop experience positivity through the power of play and laughter as another form of communication that builds teams.

Introduction
Effective communications is an essential workshop and provides a comprehensive coverage of communications. The workshop explores the origins of communication and explores how we communicate determining what is poor communication and what is effective communication. There are humourous and informative videos shown to illustrate examples of communication and to see the humour in how we communicate. The workshop explores the ego, the shadow and projection of negative aspects onto others. Healthy communication is explored and information from experts in the communication field. Underlying factors and fundamentals of communication are discussed and ways to effectively communicate through listening and emotional awareness. Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication is explored and video shown of his philosophy and why it is important in workplaces. Participants explore their own communication styles and experioence the importance of positivity through having a laugh and play at the end.

Key Learning Outcomes
- Participants learn about communication and patterns of communication
- participants learn to identify what is healthy and what is poor communication
- Participants learn about how the mind can distort reality through the ego, pain (within) and projection of thoughts
- Participants will be shown how to communicate more effecitvely using the example of Carl Rogers one of the most famous therapists in the world
- Participants will explore how communication is affected by intentions, emotional intelligence, values, power and awareness of living in the moment
- Participants will be aware of the fundamentals of communication
- Participants will learn tips and techniques for effective listening
- Participants will become aware of emotional awareness and why it is important at work
- Participants will be introduced to Marshall Rosenberg’s ‘Nonviolent Communication’ and be shown footage of his rationale
- Participants will experience a communication activity
